Regarded by many winemakers as the 'heart-break grape', due to the sheer diculty of crafting a notable Pinot Noir. is cool-climate Burgundian varietal thrives in the unique microclimate of the Niagara Escarpment.

This Reserve Pinot Noir was made from 100% Pinot Noir clone 667 grown on the premium bench site of Wismer Vineyard, boasting some of the regionís oldest Pinot Noir vines. Their mature root systems reach a depth of up to 30 feet within this escarpment property. Harvested by hand in early October to ensure only the best fruit would be processed. After a hand sorting the fruit underwent a gentle destemming and whole berry fermentation. After nearly a month on the skins, the wine was gently pressed before barrel ageing for 10 months in 50% new French oak.

The 2010 Reserve Pinot Noir is a beautifully balanced wine that demonstrates a youthful nose with a blend of ripe red berries, sweet tobacco, exotic spices and subtle oak notes. The palate is refined and complex with a silky and seductive mouthfeel and a long lingering finish.
